Where to Watch the Show for Free

Freebies are cute, but let’s be real—NYFW is also about the fits. For the girls who actually care about the fashion in Fashion Week, here’s where you can catch the 2025 action IRL.

The Canvas hosts a series of pop-ups, showcases, and sustainable fashion activations across NYC. Visitors can explore independent designers, engage with sustainable fashion, and experience curated events at flagship locations.

Location: Rockefeller Center

Rockefeller Center is turning into Fashion Week’s front row—literally. In partnership with the CFDA, they’re streaming runway shows daily on the big screens at The Rink and Channel Gardens, free and open to everyone. It’s the only spot in the city where the public can catch all the NYFW action in one place.

New York Fashion Week isn’t just about the runway—it’s about the city buzzing with exclusive pop-ups, stylish parties, and can’t-miss brand activations that bring the fashion crowd together. From limited-edition drops to immersive experiences, these events are where style lovers, trendsetters, and the simply curious get their front-row taste of NYFW. Here’s your ultimate guide to the 2025 NYFW pop-up events—so you know exactly where to go, what to see, and how to make the most of fashion week off the runway.

Location: Nordstrom at The Corner, 225 W 57th St, New York, NY 10019

Immerse yourself in the JOY experience: see Marc Jacobs’ iconic pieces transformed by artists Derrick Adams, David Shrigley, and Hattie Stewart, explore bold, colorful designs, and snap photos of playful, gallery-like displays. From reimagined totes and ready-to-wear to pop-surrealist florals and satirical art, this is a curated, interactive space where fashion meets art. Perfect for a friend date, style inspo, or just soaking in creativity.

Location: Academy Mansion, 2 East 63rd Street, New York, NY 10065

Capital One x The Cultivist present The Dollhouse by Anna Weyant, an immersive public experience during Fashion Week at the Academy Mansion. Step into a surreal world of artful confections, delicate glamour, and curated play as each room — from the Confectioner’s Kitchen to the Paper Wardrobe — reveals a hidden, dreamlike universe. Throughout the activation, nail artist Mei Kawajiri and celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos will transform models into living dolls inspired by Marc Jacobs’ 40th Anniversary show. Guests can also join live Q&A sessions and beauty masterclasses to learn how to recreate the dollhouse aesthetic themselves. Access is free and first come, first served.

SOMA is celebrating the launch of the Vanishing Edge Lace Back panty with a cheeky takeover at Iconic Magazines, marking the brand’s first-ever in-person New York Fashion Week experience. On September 10th, swing by 188 Mulberry Street for complimentary coffee, Bourke Street Bakery hot buns, and free panties, or catch the Soma Sprinter Van citywide from September 11–13.

Location: Boathouse in Central Park, East 72nd St + Park Dr N, New York, NY 10021

Veuve Clicquot is taking over the inconic Boathouse in Central Park to introduce the new La Grande Dame 2018 designed by Simon Porte Jacquemus. The experience includes private boat rides on the lake and a special keepsake to take home. After the boat experience, guests can continue the celebration with a glass of Veuve Clicquot.

Complex’s Aria Hughes will host jeweler Greg Yüna and artist Joey Bada$$ for Taste $old Separately, a Chime-sponsored panel exploring why money doesn’t always equal style. Kicking off fifteen minutes after doors open, the intimate conversation runs from 3:15 to 4:00 PM, offering guests fresh perspectives on fashion, culture, and creative influence. Light bites and refreshments will be served before doors close to transition into the evening’s celebrations.

The Venue Collective and Google Cloud invite you to an exclusive NYFW experience exploring the future of fashion powered by AI. This first-of-its-kind activation highlights how human creativity and machine intelligence come together to accelerate storytelling, design, and content creation. In partnership with EMOTE, guests will discover a new collection through virtual try-on technology and see brand storytelling come to life with VEO. These private, one-on-one sessions are hosted at the Highline Nine gallery and are available by appointment only.

Location: Veronica Beard, 988 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10075

For one week only, Veronica Beard is flipping the backroom of their Madison Ave flagship into the chicest corner store you’ve ever stepped into. Shop the Fall ‘25 collection while grabbing exclusive VB merch and takeaways—picture drink coolers, fresh flowers, and snack walls, all with that signature twist.

Location: Vanderbilt Hall, Grand Central Terminal, East 42nd Street, New York

Tecovas, the celeb-loved Austin Western wear brand, is bringing the Wild West to NYC with a Grand Central dance hall takeover and a weekend of festivities at their new Soho store, featuring live country music, drinks curated by Death & Co., boot painting, chain stitching, and exclusive swag for early visitors. Free and open to the public, the events promise a fully immersive Western experience with surprises, photo ops, and hands-on activities.

NOYZ is hitting NYC streets with its biggest campaign yet. Head to Chelsea Triangle where photographer Ryan Murray will be capturing portraits for a chance to be featured in the brand’s next campaign, posted IRL around New York during Fashion Week. The first 1,000 attendees will receive NOYZ’s new fragrance for free—before it even launches. Gift bags and spots are limited, so arrive early to secure your moment.

True Religion is making a stylish double debut in New York City this Fashion Week. Start your day downtown at the Astor Place Pop-Up Truck to shop the new fall collection, customize your favorite denim, and refresh your wardrobe with the latest drop. From there, head to Queens Center Mall to celebrate the grand opening of True Religion’s newest store, hosted by Chelley from Love Island. Guests can enjoy live embroidery, exclusive giveaways, a meet and greet, and plenty of surprises throughout the afternoon.

Victoria Vesce, founder of The VYB and wellness advocate, partners with Rumble Boxing Chelsea and 90 Degree by Reflex to launch the People-First NYFW Sweat Series, a high-energy fitness and wellness event during New York Fashion Week. Guests will enjoy a signature 45-minute Rumble Boxing class led by top trainers, styled head-to-toe in curated Fall activewear from 90 Degree by Reflex, followed by wellness activations and curated gift bags featuring premium brands. Step into J.Crew’s world at 190 Bowery, where every room feels like a catalog come to life. The two-day pop-up includes their limited-edition 190 capsule, one-of-a-kind vintage J.Crew pieces, and on-site customization by New York Embroidery Studio. TRESemmé is bringing its new A-List Collection to SoHo with an after-hours experience that’s equal parts glam session and girl gang hangout. Expect pro styling tips, dry styling appointments (limited menu, hair must be style-ready), and giveaways including engraved combs (Sunday only) and A-List products while supplies last. Sip cocktails or mocktails, catch live DJ sets, and snap endless content-worthy moments in an energy-filled downtown setting.
