Pop Up Girls Interview with Taylar Hagan of Sip Shop Eat!

Updated: Apr 13, 2022

Taylar Hagan of Sip Shop Eat!

Meet the fabulous human being Taylar Hagan! She is a NYC native and the owner and founder of Sip Shop Eat!

As a pop up, Sip Shop Eat! is an

"experiential community that loves to spotlight indie and emerging brands, bloggers, creatives and all walks of life that specify in food, style and drinks."

Established in NYC 2017, the conception for Sip Shop Eat! blossomed from what Taylar, a then small business owner of an online vintage brand, saw as a need to curate more vendor-centric popups.

(Pop Up Girls love a good problem solver!)

Fresh to managing events, she has had to develop her skillset in order to navigate guest engagement and organize vendors from multiple demographics in a pop up space.

"... what would get them to come out discover indie brands, shop small, celebrate food and style in a fun and exciting way that also supports vendors."

Over the years Sip Shop Eat! has gradually increased their number of events per year and has even branched out to include events in California.

These IRL events have been filled with awesome perks like complimentary popcorn, cotton candy, photo booths and art instillations. Selling cocktails has become a staple at the events, so you can sip away while shopping till you drop.

Even though quarantine has come affected in-person events, the wheels have not stopped turning at Sip Shop Eat!. Taylar has been busy developing an online presence and creating affordable virtual experiences we can do at home.

Just recently, I learned to make bangin’ Vegan Mac and Cheese at one of these virtual experiences and coming up you can check out this cool DIY Jewelry Making event!

Taylar is passionate about the work that she does and the community she’s built with Sip Shop Eat!

As an entrepreneur herself, she feels most joyful “working with other entrepreneurs and getting to see and acknowledge their growth. Some make their first in person sale, and host their first virtual classes.”

At Sip Shop Eat! guests are equally as important as vendors. As an organizer Taylar is always thinking about the experience from both perspectives.

She wants everyone to experience joy.

She loves in person events as much as we do and moving forward will continue to focus on executing fun quality events post COVID-19. Meanwhile, vendors and guests can join the party virtually through the website and follow along @sipshopeat on Instagram.

Be on the lookout for more fun everyday virtual activities.

If you want to get in on the IRL experience but aren't based in NYC or LA, don't worry, events in San Fran, Houston and ATL are all loading.
